Eng. Abdul Basit Salem Al-Baour, Chairman of the General Authority for Information and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Quality, said that the Authority has taken a pioneering step towards establishing and implementing a quality management system that complies with the international standard ISO 9001:2015, adding that the application of the system comes within the authority’s urgent priorities in advancing work and quality, providing the best services and following the best methodologies and international standards.
This came during his attendance at part of the first meeting of the quality team of the authority, which was held on Monday at Engineer Lotfi Zarrouk Karmous.
During the meeting, the quality team discussed the mechanisms of its work plan, which included the procedures governing the establishment and implementation of the quality management system, setting organizational goals, the timetable for completing the work, and evaluating the performance of departments and offices.
The team also discussed the level of employees’ knowledge of the Quality Management System policy and the extent to which it is applied in the work of the job.
The meeting was attended by the Director of Planning and Projects Department, member of the Supreme Committee for Quality, Eng. Mounir Al-Adl.
