Today, Sunday, at the Corinthia Hotel in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, the activities of the (Government Tax Data Integration Hackathon) supervised by the General Information Authority kicked off, with the participation of a large number of programmers, developers and experts in the field of data from Libyan university students and professionals from various sectors of the state.
The two-day hackathon aims to provide and develop innovative technical solutions that will improve the exchange of tax data between government agencies, represented by the Tax Authority, the Customs Authority, the Central Bank of Libya and the Commercial Registry Authority, in addition to developing prototypes for projects related to tax data analysis and providing innovative solutions that contribute to speeding up procedures and reducing costs.
The hackathon supports the objectives of the General Information Authority in creating a stimulating environment that encourages creativity in creating technical pioneering projects that contribute to enhancing efficiency in data management, transparency of tax systems and improving the level of services.

The activities of the first day of the hackathon, in which the attendees and participants gave a welcome speech and was moderated by the representative of the General Authority for Information at the Engineer Hossam Al-Rabti Lab, which was opened by the Director of the Experts Office at the Authority, Eng. Adel Juma Al-Toumi, included workshops and orientation sessions for the participants, presented by the Libyan Digital Innovation Lab team and experts in the field of data and programming.
We include the Government Tax Data Integration Hackathon in partnership between the General Information Authority and the Libyan Digital Innovation Lab, which was formed by a decision of the President of the General Information Authority and in cooperation with the France Experts Foundation within the Enipol project funded by the European Union with stakeholders, namely: the Tax and Customs Authority, the General Authority for Commercial Register, the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank of Libya.
