In implementation of the directives of the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Eng. Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, to establish a digital system for managing diabetes patients, in cooperation between the General Information Authority and the National Diabetes Program, within the framework of developing national health policies in a way that contributes to raising the efficiency of performance within this vital sector.
To complement the projects that contribute to improving the quality of health services provided to citizens and beneficiaries, Eng. Abdul Basit Salem Al-Baour, Chairman of the General Information Authority, held a meeting today, Wednesday, with Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud Aqeela and Dr. Milad Al-Sayd Al-Ghwell, from the National Diabetes Program, during which they reviewed and discussed the set of elements of the unified system for managing registration and dispensing of medicines, including the objectives of the system and its alignment with the goals and vision of the government, which would help beneficiaries to obtain medicines in accordance with Health standards, and contributes to providing accurate and comprehensive reports that help in making informed decisions to provide medicines, devices, etc. according to a smooth and easy mechanism.
In the meeting, which was held at the Authority’s headquarters, the two sides pointed to the importance of continuing coordination and communication and enhancing cooperation between them in the future to achieve the safe and effective use of the registration and dispensing of medicines management system.
At the end of the meeting, it was agreed that the National Diabetes Program will announce registration in the system early next year 2025.
The meeting was attended by Eng. Saber Abdel Hamid Hazem, Director of Digital Transformation and Electronic Services Department at the General Information Authority.
