The General Information Authority, represented by the Head of the Research and Studies Department, Eng. Muhammad Al-Qambari, participated in the intensive training specialized in national accounts and economic models, organized by the French Experts Foundation over a period of six days, within the framework of the EU-funded E-nable project in Libya.
The trainings covered a wide range of vital topics, from the basic concepts of national accounts and their close relationship with economic analysis, to kinetic models and the role of time in econometric research.
The trainings highlighted the critical importance of national accounts in the economic decision-making process, as a comprehensive roadmap for the economy that helps decision-makers identify strengths and weaknesses through the analysis of economic data, enables them to identify economic priorities to direct resources towards the most important sectors, helps them compare Libya’s economic performance with the economies of other countries, and assesses the standard of living of citizens to improve economic policies, which contributes to supporting sustainable economic development efforts in Libya.
The training, which was presented by economist Dr. Aman Al-Ramali, with the help of Dr. Osama bin Hamed, a faculty member at the University of Tripoli, was attended by a group of specialists from government agencies.
