Eng. Abdul Basit Salem Al-Baour, Chairman of the General Information Authority, stressed the need to establish a database related to the workforce in the administrative apparatus in the country, which has all the detailed data and information related to the workforce, to become the main pillar on which strategic planning is based to ensure the provision of accurate and reliable information to decision makers.
This came during a meeting, on Wednesday, with Engineer Masoud Gaddafi, Director General of the Information and Documentation Center at the Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation, and a number of officials and engineers at the Center.
Eng. Abdul Basit Al-Baour, Director General of the Information and Documentation Center at the Ministry of Labour and Rehabilitation, called on Eng. Masoud Gaddafi to expedite the development of the necessary plans in this regard, expressing the authority’s readiness to provide the necessary support to the center, solve all problems and overcome the difficulties that may face the center.
The Chairman of the Authority pointed out that the establishment of a database concerned with functional data in the administrative apparatus of the state and government companies is a national task that comes within the framework of achieving the supreme interest of the state.
Eng. Masoud Gaddafi, Director General of the Information and Documentation Center at the Ministry of Labour and Rehabilitation, reviewed the difficulties facing the Center in the field of data and information flow and exchange, stressing the need for concerted joint efforts between all sectors of the state to establish a database that contributes to the flow of accurate data about the workforce.
The meeting, which was attended by a number of directors of departments and offices of the Authority and held at the Authority’s headquarters, discussed visions and plans to create a partnership between the Authority and the Information and Documentation Center at the Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation and all government agencies, to support the Center in establishing a database on the workforce in the State of Libya with a degree of accuracy and comprehensiveness.
