Today, Tuesday, the head of the General Information Authority, Engineer Abdel Baset Salem Al-Baour, announced the start of work on the updated government bidding and procurement platform, after the successful completion of developing and modernizing the system in accordance with internationally approved best practices, as the platform has now become more interactive.
The head of the authority said during his chairing of a meeting held in this regard, attended by a number of department directors, offices, department heads, and the platform’s team, and in conjunction with celebrating the thirteenth anniversary of the February 17 revolution, The platform for government bidding and procurement is considered a fundamental pillar of the government’s strategic directions, which come within its efforts to achieve the highest levels of efficiency and transparency in government procurement management.
The head of the Authority stressed the importance of the government bidding and procurement platform, which aims to develop government procurement processes and raise the efficiency and quality of financial performance.
The head of the Authority extended special thanks to Engineer Saber Abdel Hamid Hazem, the designer and developer of the platform, and to all members of the technical team, for the distinguished service they provided.
The meeting reviewed the most important features of the updated government bidding and procurement platform, the work plan for the future phase and its most prominent achievements.
It is noteworthy that the Authority is working on launching an introductory media plan to achieve maximum benefit from the platform.
