The National Cancer Control Authority received the cancer patient’s system from the General Information Authority on Tuesday morning, after it was prepared according to the required technical specifications.
The ceremony, which was held at the Mohammed Salem Bani Hall at the branch of the authority in the Ras Hassan area, was attended by Nader Mleitan, the director of the National Database Management, Mahmoud Al-Khoja, the technical advisor, a representative from the National Cancer Control Authority, representatives from the National Anti-Corruption Authority, Al-Madar Al-Jadeed Company, and Al-Nawa Company.
The cancer patient’s system is an advanced and modern system that operates through an integrated electronic system to manage all the procedures and pharmaceutical services provided to cancer patients. It connects all cancer centers to the national database and the medical supply and treatment system to provide all pharmaceutical needs and manage the patient’s medical file through several processes starting from registration and documentation of basic data, passing through the specific pharmaceutical needs for cancer drugs, determining patients’ needs for medications, distributing them between centers, ensuring the medication reaches the patient according to their specified treatment doses, recycling the stock between centers, and ending with the procedures for treatment abroad for patients who do not have access to treatment within the country according to specific criteria set by the scientific committee.
