As part of the dynamics of cooperation and coordination between the General Information Authority and sectoral information and documentation centers on various issues related to the national information system and its sustainability, the General Information Authority held a periodic coordination meeting with sectoral information and documentation centers today, Wednesday, during which a number of topics related to the activities of the national information system and proposals aimed at improving its work and sustainability were discussed.
The meeting, which was attended by the head of the Authority, Engineer Abdul Basit Salem Al-Baour, and a group of directors of sectoral information and documentation centers, and Dr. Abdul Raouf Al-Bebas, and Mr. Mohammed Al-Aswad, Deputy Director of the Expertise France in Libya, and through Zoom , representatives of the Expertise France, in addition to a number of directors of departments, offices, at the Authority, discussed the training courses that the Expertise France intends to implement for the benefit of employees of sectoral information and documentation centers within the Raqameyon Project, and the importance of benefiting from these courses to create professional cadres in data science, and coordination was specifically made.
The meeting, held at the headquarters of the authority, discussed the progress of new projects for sectoral information and documentation centers planned for future implementation, and reviewed some statistics related to the work of a number of centers and their activity plan, in addition to being informed about the decision of the head of the General Information Authority for the year 2023, to form the high technical committee for the national information system. Appropriate recommendations were made regarding it, which contribute to the development of aspects of work and accompanying activities.
The head of the Authority, Engineer Abdul Basit Al-Baour, explained during his speech at this meeting the importance of the relationship between the Authority and the sectoral information and documentation centers, which are considered strategic, and the reflection of this on enhancing the efficiency and quality of the national information system, and ensuring its continuous effectiveness, praising the leading role of the sectoral information and documentation centers, and their achievements in this field, and their contribution to the advancement of the national information system.
