The General Information Authority and the Traffic and Licensing Affairs Department at the Ministry of Interior held a coordination meeting today, Wednesday, at the branch headquarters in the Ras Hassan area, in the presence of Mr. Nader Mleitan, the Director of the National Database Administration, Brigadier General Faisal Ramadan Barnous, the Director General of the Traffic and Licensing Affairs Department at the Ministry of Interior, Mr. Abdul Hakim Saleh Abu Salah, the Head of the Public Affairs and Traffic Safety Office, Colonel Khaled Ali Al-Balazi, the Head of the Information Technology Office, Mr. Abdul Salam Al-Hadi Ali, the Head of the Relations Office, Mr. Ali Osman Fares, the Head of the Networks Unit at the National Database Administration, and Mr. Asaad Khalifa Al-Hajaji, the Administrative Coordinator at the National Database Administration.
During the meeting, discussions were held regarding the practical steps for the electronic connection between the National Database Administration at the Authority and the Traffic and Licensing Affairs Department at the Ministry of Interior, in order to facilitate and simplify procedures for citizens benefiting from the services of the Traffic and Licensing Affairs Department, in a manner that saves time and effort.
The meeting also discussed the mechanism for registering special metal plates for vehicles and ways to link them to electronic systems, ensuring the establishment of procedures that comply with traffic safety.
The meeting reviewed some of the general objectives of the traffic and licensing management plans for digital transformation and electronic system, which coincide with the digital transformation witnessed by the Ministry of Interior.
The director of the National Database Department affirmed the readiness of the authority to support the efforts of the traffic and licensing management towards digital transformation, in order to enhance the traffic services provided to citizens.
In turn, the director-general of the Traffic and Licensing Affairs Department praised the efforts made by the authority in providing electronic linking services according to detailed practices and technical standards, and its continuous cooperation with state institutions in order to achieve maximum benefit from electronic linking services, which positively impact citizens.
