Head of the General Information Authority, Eng. Abdulbaset Salem Al Baour received, on Monday in his office, the Director General of the Center of Information and Documentation of the Ministry of Economy and Trading, Eng. Hussain Al Lamoushi, by attendance of Director of the National InformationSystem Department at the GIA, and director of the governmentbidding and procurement platform, Eng. Adel Jumaa Toumi, and that is in the framework of the GIA’s efforts to begin working on the second phase of the platform.
The head of the authority confirmed during the meeting, the importance of integration with the Ministry of Economy and Trading regarding the technical and procedural steps for activating the second phase of the government tenders and procurement platform, in relation to registering the suppliers, demonstrating that the General Information Authority is heading towards an effective role in the work on this platform, according to the directives of the Government of National Accord, showcasing what the work teams have accomplished so far, and the need for doubling the efforts.
The Head of the Authority was briefed by the Director of the National Information System Department on the agreement reached at last Thursday’s meeting, which brought together Engineer Adel AlToumi with Engineer Hussain Al Lamoushi regarding the activation of the second phase of the platform.
