The Director of the National Database Department at the Public Authority for Information, Mr. Nader Melitan, discussed on Thursday with a representative from the Public Authority for Hajj and Umrah Affairs, the mechanism for the Hajj and Umrah Affairs Authority to benefit from the electronic connectivity services provided by the General Information Authority, which contributes to supporting the digital transformation witnessed by the Hajj and Umrah Affairs Authority.
The meeting, which was held at the branch of the General Information Authority in Ras Hassan, touched on many topics related to the mechanism of linking the authority’s national database with the electronic systems of the Hajj and Umrah Affairs Authority, and benefiting from the services provided by this database, especially with regard to inquiring about the national number of Libyan pilgrims.
The meeting was attended by a number of heads of departments and units and engineers from the department.
It is noteworthy that the General Information Authority seeks, within its strategic plan, to enable all state institutions to electronically link to the national database and benefit from the services provided by this database in facilitating citizens’ transactions and saving time and effort.
