Under the patronage of the head of the General Information Authority Engineer Abdul Basit Salem Al-Baour, the Authority organized a scientific lecture today, Tuesday, on the Tunisian experience in the field of communication and information strategy, delivered by the Tunisian computer scientist, Farouk Kamoun, Professor of Computer Science at the National School of Information Sciences at Manouba University in Tunisia, in the presence of the head of the Authority Engineer Abdul Basit Salem Al-Baour, and the head of the National Authority for Information Security and Safety Engineer Salah Al-Tubaini, with the participation of a high-level group of experts, engineers, specialists, and officials from the General Information Authority, the National Authority for Information Security and Safety, and the General Authority for communications and Information .
The lecture began with a speech from Engineer Abd al-Basit Salem al-Baour, welcoming Tunisian computer scientist Dr. Farouk Kamoun and the attendees.
The lecture shed light on the Tunisian experience in the field of communication and information strategy, specifically regarding governance, applications, and legislation.
The lecture, through in-depth analysis, addressed the foundations of the success of the Tunisian experience in electronic transformation in the government sector, and its strategy for electronic services.
The organization of this lecture comes within the framework of the Authority’s keenness to benefit from international experiences and expertise in the process of formulating policies and future directions related to the development of the national information sector, and utilizing them in this regard.
The lecture emphasized the pioneering role of the Authority within the dynamics of cooperation with relevant institutions, in supporting efforts to promote and develop the national information sector in the context of sustainable development.
