Contribution from the General Information Authority, the National Information Security and Safety Authority , and the Libyan Academy for Postgraduate Studies in the development of the national infrastructure for technical legislation, and in preparation for professional diploma programs in law and informatics by the General Information Authority, approved by the government, and to be implemented by the Libyan Academy for Postgraduate Studies in collaboration and partnership with the National Information Security and Safety Authority . A workshop on (professional diploma programs in law and informatics was organized this morning, Monday, at the Bab Al-Bahr Hotel in Tripoli, attended by Engineer Abdulbaset Salem Al-Baour, head of the General Inforation Authority, Engineer Salah Al-Tabbini, Director General of the National Information Security and Safety Authority, and Dr. Ramadan Al-Madani, head of the Libyan Academy for Postgraduate Studies, and attended by representatives from a large number of government entities, authorities, and related institutions.
The head of the authority, engineer Abdul Basit Salem Al-Baour, announced, at the opening of the workshop, the intention of the authority to launch many specialized professional programs in various fields, as a pursuit to catch up with and keep pace with the rapid global technological developments, and to build national professional capacities in this regard.
In turn, engineer Salah Al-Tabbini, the director general of the National Information Security and Safety Authority, praised, during his speech at the opening of the workshop, the efforts of the organizing bodies for professional diploma programs in law and informatics, believing that cooperation between them, as specialized entities, would contribute to the preparation of specialized national professional cadres capable of combating electronic crimes, containing them, and mitigating their impact.
Dr. Ramadan Al-Abani, the head of the Libyan Academy for Postgraduate Studies, gave the signal for the implementation of the professional diploma program in law and informatics, and revealed the intention of the organizing bodies of diploma programs to organize an international conference on cybersecurity.
This workshop included the presentation of several scientific papers covering the workshop topics, where Dr. Abdel Raouf Al-Bibas presented a scientific paper entitled “Professional Programs in Law and Informatics” in the first scientific session, chaired by Dr. Moussa Khalifa Feneer, followed by Mr. Mohamed Omar Al-Jadaa who presented a scientific paper entitled “Why Professional Preparation in the Diploma of Law and Informatics, and the Current Reality of the Legislative Environment in the Informatics Aspect.”
The second scientific session, chaired by Dr. Abdul Sami Ahmed Al-Tayr, witnessed the presentation of a scientific paper entitled “Data Policy and Privacy” presented by Engineer Adel Jamaa Al-Toumi, and a second scientific paper entitled “National Policies for Information Security and Safety” presented by Khaled Ambark. As for the third scientific paper, it was entitled “Intellectual Property Rights” presented by Dr. Omar Saleh Mahmoud, and the fourth and final scientific paper was entitled “Cyber Crimes and Digital Criminal Evidence” presented by Dr. Fahti Al-Sadiq Al-Qaseer. The workshop witnessed purposeful interventions and discussions by the participants.
