As part of the intensive training activity carried out by the General Information Authority on the ISO Quality Management System and its requirements, in the context of its project “Implementation of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System”, which targets all its employees and staff, the Authority organized a training course today, Saturday, titled “Risk-based Planning and Opportunities in the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System”, in which members of the Quality High Committee, directors of departments and offices participated.
The course, delivered by quality management system experts Dr. Osama Al-Fuzani and Engineer Hisham Barkan, covered several topics, including the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 standard and related matters regarding the organization’s context, identifying and analyzing them for the General Information Authority in this regard, as well as identifying the risks and opportunities that the Authority may face, reviewing and developing its vision, mission, objectives, and values through the analysis of the quadrilateral system, and how to apply the standard requirements and transform them into an effective quality system and obtain ISO 9001:2015 certification.
The methodology of the course was based on providing and explaining the scientific and cognitive background of the different topics and the specific requirements of the standard, as well as the necessary tools and methods to consolidate the relevant topics for practical application. This also includes group work and knowledge sharing through guided discussions and brainstorming sessions to formulate the requirements of the organizational context, quality policy, and the preparation of the vision, mission, objectives, values, and SWOT analysis.
It is worth mentioning that the aim of the intensive training activity is to enable participants to understand the principle of Quality Management System, to know the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 quality system, and how to apply these requirements and transform them into an effective and practical management system within the organization. Additionally, it also includes how to apply these requirements in order to obtain the ISO 9001:2015 certification, and to provide them with the necessary skills to implement a quality management system that leads to development and reaching international standards.
