Granting the status of judicial control officers to employees of the information sector is the focus of themeeting of the head of the General information Authority with the directors of the sectoral informationand documentation centers

The issue of granting the status of judicial control officers to employees of the information sector was
the focus of the meeting that the head of the General information Authority, Engineer Abdel Basset
Salem Al-Baour, held today, Tuesday, in the hall of Lutfi Al-Zarouq Karmous at the authority’s
headquarters in Tripoli, with the directors of the sectoral information and documentation centers.
During the meeting, the head of the Authority confirmed that authorizing some employees of the
information sector with the status of judicial control officers will give great support to the information
sector and enhance its role and raise it to advanced levels, and will also contribute to ensuring
compliance with the provisions of the laws in force in this field, Pointing out that a guide will be
developed for the work procedures of the judicial control officer for the employees of the information
sector, providing the explanations of how to work, and clarifying the procedures, tasks and powers.
The meeting dealt with future joint projects between the general information Authority and the sectoral
information and documentation centers focusing on electronic services, and measuring the level of
maturity of electronic and mobile government services for the year 2023, which will be conducted in
cooperation with the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA).
The meeting included an intervention by Dr. Muhammad Nawar Al-Awa, Regional Adviser to the
Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), in which he spoke about the criteria and
pillars for measuring the maturity of electronic and mobile government services indicator implemented
by the Commission.
At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to set controls to grant the status of judicial control officers to
employees of the information sector, and it was also agreed to hold a workshop in cooperation with the
Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) on measuring the electronic and mobile
services maturity index for the year 2023 at the national level.
